Congratulations to Queen's Art History Professor Emeritus Pierre du Prey and co-author Anatole Tchikine, who received the Elisabeth Blair MacDougall Award from the Society of Architectural Historians for their book, (Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collections, 2021).

Starting April 5, 2023, the new exhibition Antiquities Through Modern Eyes is presented at Kingston City Hall. The exhibition is created by Professor Emy Kim (Assistant Professor, Artifacts Conservation), Cristiana Zaccagnino (Professor, Department of Classics and Archaeology), M.A.C.
Ph.D. student Béatrice Cloutier-Trepanier has been awarded a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellowship, to continue her research on American painter Lee Lozano. Cloutier-Trepanier is supervised by Prof. Jen Kennedy, and her postdoctoral project is tentatively titled, "Lee Lozano in (Feminist) Conversations", exploring Lozano's connection to emergent transnational and queer feminisms through her relationships with Yoko Ono and Yvonne Rainer, respectively. Congratulations to Béatrice on this competitive award!
From March 2-3, 2023, the Department of Art History and Art Conservation welcomed Pamela H. Smith, Seth Low Professor of History and Director of the Center for Science and Society at Columbia University, for a weekend of events co-sponsored with the Department of History.
