Art History Graduate Programs

Connect with dynamic and diverse fellow student in our M.A. and Ph.D programs, working with world-renowned experts, gaining experience in such areas as curatorial studies, digital humanities, technical art history, material culture, cultural heritage preservation, and global arts. Students engage in intense discussion in small seminars and at such events as an annual student-run peer reviewed conference that draws speakers from across North America.

Classes offer opportunities for internships at museums and other cultural institutions, co-curation of exhibitions, and hands-on experience in digital humanities, including 3-D scanning. M.A. and Ph.D. students in Art History also have the opportunity to take classes in Art Conservation. Graduate students gain teaching experience as teaching assistants and teaching fellows. Our amazing alumni work as professors, curators, auction house specialists, and in other careers. We are pleased to offer funding for both M.A. and Ph.D students. Notification of admission is by mid-March.

Application deadline: January 10 of each year.
