Prof. Allison Morehead travels to London, begins appointment as open access journal Editor-in-Chief
Art History Professor Allison Morehead traveled to London, UK, in June 2024 to meet with a team from the Munch Museum, Oslo, and architects from Nissen Richards, who have been commissioned to design Professor Morehead's exhibition, Edvard Munch and the Medicalization of Modern Life. The team was keen to study Nissen Richards' various projects in London and to visit institutions that creatively combine displays of art with other objects of visual and material culture.

Congratulations to Queen's Art Conservation alumni who attended the Canadian Association for Cultural Property's 28th Annual Conference in Victoria, B.C.! Presentations were given by Sally Kim (M.A.C. '19) on soft sculptures, and by Jonah Halili (M.A.C. '23) on the drying behaviours of modern oil paints. Additionally, Robin Canham (M.A.C. '22) received the CAC's Emerging Conservator Award.

Dr. Aaron Shugar appointed Bader Chair in Art Conservation
After an intensive search, the Bader Chair in Art Conservation position has been awarded to Dr. Aaron Shugar. Dr. Shugar -- currently the Mellon Foundation Professor in the Art Conservation Department at the State University of New York, Buffalo State University -- holds a Ph.D.
