Date
Thursday February 15, 202412:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Location
Sound research data management practices are being required by funding agencies across the globe. In Canada, the (2021) aims to support Canadian research excellence by promoting best practices in research data management and stewardship. Three years into the launch of the policy, this session will outline initial policy implementation details, including requirement timelines and ongoing feedback efforts from the Canadian research and RDM community. Additionally, we will feature the results of the Queen鈥檚 RDM survey (2022) that investigated the level of knowledge of the policy and the level of preparedness to meet the forthcoming requirements. We will also outline initial steps to respond to the survey results through various initiatives, such as the Queen鈥檚 Data Champions (2022-2023) information series and the development of new resources. Participants will also have an opportunity to ask the presenters questions and engage in discussions about current RDM context and the benefits of implementing RDM wise practices.
