Start Preparing For Move-Out
Your time to move out can sneak up on you! We encourage you to prepare to move well in advance by setting aside a few weekly hours for decluttering and packing. Make it a mindful move-out by taking responsibility for donating, trading, upcycling, and recycling. Consider sending items home you aren’t regularly using to make your April move-out a smooth experience. Don’t want to take everything home with you? Please donate to a bin nearest you! View the list of donation drop-off locations in the Wasteless Move-Out section below.
If you have someone picking you up, remind them that unattended vehicles in traffic circles (fire routes) will be ticketed. There can be a lot of traffic congestion on peak move-out days, so make sure that your belongings are packed well in advance of their arrival so that you can quickly move things out and be on your way.
If you have a flight or other travel arrangements, make sure you have everything you need to travel set aside like your passport or other travel documents.
If your room needs any repairs, you must submit a now to allow our team enough time to address any necessary repairs and ensure that your room meets the move-out requirements; otherwise, you may be charged a $120 Improper Check Out fee or a Damage Fee.
You can do this through the .
While many volunteers were available to assist with move-in, they are also students writing exams and are unable to assist with the move-out process. You will need to move your own belongings, and a limited number of carts will be available at your front desk to help with your move.
Set aside a few hours each week for decluttering and packing. Free boxes have been set aside at Leonard, Ban Righ, Jean-Royce Dining Halls, Lazy Scholar, Location 21 and Wally's for you to collect to pack up your belongings.
You will not be able to store items in residence after your check-out date, so please ensure your room is left in the condition it was when you moved in.
