Peace, Friendship, and Good Minds

The friendship wampum belt was presented to 成人大片 Senate by the Clan Mothers at Tyendinaga, and the Grandmothers' Council in Kingston, on March 7, 2017. 

This cherished symbol is now present at all Senate meetings, to represent the lasting covenant of peace and friendship.

Leading in local emissions reduction with 2021 Sustainable Kingston Award

Queen鈥檚 has been named the winner of the from Sustainable Kingston for reducing the university鈥檚 emissions by 6,023 tonnes. The Sustainable Kingston Awards are presented each year to local organizations to recognize their hard work in mitigating the climate emergency and fostering a culture of sustainability in the Kingston community.

Queen鈥檚 transitions to remote delivery for January-February 2022

Due to concerns with rising cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, and in consultation with , Queen鈥檚 University will be transitioning most Winter 2022 academic activities delivered in Ontario to remote delivery until the end of reading week on Feb. 28, 2022. This is a proactive measure to support the health and safety of the Queen鈥檚 and Kingston communities and align with Ontario鈥檚 accelerated booster dose rollout for all individuals aged 18 and over.
