May 1944: 98 girls and young women from the Protestant charity institution Asbacher Hütte (Bad Kreuznach) are readied for deportation to the killing center of Meseritz-Obrawalde. Four decades later, the institution issues the very first "confession of guilt" for failing to protest and protect their residents.
