Dale Lackeyram

Dr. Lackeyram has extensive experience in working to enhance the student learning environment, addressing student transition and retention issues, curriculum design and assessment, and inclusive design principles.
In addition to numerous publications and classroom hours dedicated to enhancing student teaching and learning, Dr. Lackeyram has also dedicated his time to supporting student engagement and success, such as advocating for campus spaces for racialized students, developing a Student Athlete Mentorship program, and implementing student success early-warning initiatives.
In his role as director, Dr. Lackeyram works with the CTL team and the Office of the Vice-Provost (Teaching and Learning) to support the academic priorities of the university and guide the implementation of initiatives and services that promote teaching excellence, pedagogical innovation, inclusive curriculum, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Dr. Lackeyram also collaborates to support and enrich Decolonizing, Indigenizing and Universal Design initiatives across the institution.
Prior to his role as Associate Director, Office of Teaching and Learning, at the University of Guelph, Dr. Lackeyram served as Associate Director, Educational Development, Open Learning and Educational Support, University of Guelph, Learning and Curriculum Specialist, Ontario Veterinary College, and Science Learning Specialist, Library Learning Commons.
Dr. Lackeyram holds a PhD in Nutrition and Intestinal Physiology (Intestinal Enzyme Regulation), Master of Science (Department of Animal Bio-Sciences), and Bachelor of Science (Molecular Biology and Genetics) from the University of Guelph.
