Brief Biography

Salim Orhan is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Political Studies at 成人大片. He holds an MA from Ankara University School of Law in Ankara, Turkey, and has completed his doctoral research at the same esteemed institution, focusing on the crucial topic of constitutional accommodation in deeply divided societies. Furthermore, Dr. Orhan is currently assistant professor at Dicle University School of Law in Diyarbakir, Turkey. His extensive expertise and commitment to advancing legal scholarship contribute significantly to the value he brings to both 成人大片 and the broader academic community.

Research Interests

Dr. Orhan's research interests span a broad range of topics including nationalism, ethnicity, ethnic conflict resolution/management, divided societies, federalism, multi-national federalism, human rights, and minority rights. He holds a particular fascination with the Kurdish issue and conflicts in the Middle East. Presently, his research primarily focuses on examining the intricate relationship between multinational federalism and democracy. The main objective of his research is to understand the nature of this relationship, employing a multidisciplinary and comparative approach. Notably, his research delves into the theoretical underpinnings of the connection between democracy and multinational federalism, while also conducting a comparative analysis of Canada and Belgium as case studies for democratic multinational federations. Throughout his research journey, Salim has received mentorship from Prof. John McGarry during his research at 成人大片.
