Ms. Alford has recently accepted a position as Assistant Professor in Craft History and Theory in the School of Critical and Creative Studies at the Alberta University of the Arts (formerly the Alberta College of Art and Design). Ms. Binkley has just accepted a tenure-stream position in the history of the North American continent in the Department of History at Dalhousie University.

Congratulations to Professor Una D'Elia, recent recipient of the W.J. Barnes Teaching Award for her outstanding teaching of course ARTH 120! The Barnes is student nominated and student selected. It is presented annually "to a deserving member of the Faculty of Arts and Science who has made a significant contribution to teaching."

Congratulations to Dr. Sarah Alford, whose thesis, "Art Botany in Nineteenth-Century Design Reform, 1830鈥1865" (supervised by Professor Emerita Dr. Janice Helland) has been named Humanities Outstanding Thesis by the Fellowship Committee of the School of Graduate Studies in the 2018-2019 Governor General鈥檚 Academic Gold Medals competition.
As part of her innovative research into medical humanities and art history, Dr. Allison Morehead recently completed an interdisciplinary research workshop, 鈥淒oing Medical Humanities with Art, Non-Art Objects, and Things,鈥 in Oslo, Norway, with the participation of three PhD students from Art History at Queen鈥檚.
