The VII Symposium "Teaching Portuguese in Canada" took place on 1-2 March at the Missão Portuguesa Santa Cruz in Montreal. The event was held over two days to provide more opportunities for interaction and experience sharing among participants. The program included a training session by Dr. Inês Cardoso on "The Rhythm of Writing – Different Didactic Approaches in Non-Native Portuguese," a discussion forum on classroom practices, updates on new Portuguese as a non-native language publications from LIDEL and Porto Editora, and a workshop led by actress Isabel dos Santos on "Storytelling and Dramatic Expression." The symposium concluded with a social dinner at "Casa Minhota" in Montreal, attended by his Excellencies Ambassador António Leão Rocha, Ambassador of Portugal in Canada, and Ambassador Mateus Barros José, Consul General of Angola in Toronto.
