Welcome to Queen’s MiniQ Camp!

A summer day camp program for children aged 5-12, MiniQ Campers explore, create, and learn about the world around them through games, projects and activities in a safe, welcoming environment through hands-on Arts and Science activities. At the end of each week, the camp culminates with a Graduation Showcase. Whether your child loves outdoor adventures, creative arts, reading and writing, or science and math, or team-building activities, MiniQ has something for everyone!

Campers (aged 5-6) will explore the world through a variety of activities each week. Campers (aged 7-12) will engage in a variety of arts and science activities each morning. Campers will select a 'Major' in Arts, Science or Outdoors that they will explore during our afternoon sessions.

Camp Highlights

Themed Weeks: Each week is themed to provide a unique focus, from "What in the World", featuring outdoor exploration, to "Tales and Tails", featuring art and stories, explore the themes through games, projects and experiences. See the themes below.

Diverse Activities: MiniQ brings together the expertise across Queen’s faculty of arts and science to provide exciting opportunities for students to explore the world and make friends. Each week will have a specific theme that students will explore through projects and activities.

Experienced Staff: Our team of passionate and certified camp counsellors are dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for each child.

Safety First: The health and safety of our campers is our top priority. We adhere to the highest standards of care, ensuring a fun, secure environment for all children. All of our counsellors with have CPR and First Aid, and completed mandatory training.

Early Bird Pricing (March 3 - 31)

Regular Pricing (after April 1):

$300/ week ($240 during weeks of June 30 & August 4)

*Before and after care is also available for an additional fee.

**Queen's employees may be eligible for support with camp costs through the Childcare Support Plan.

Carnival of Creations, Codebreakers, and Clues

A fun-filled week of hands-on activities, you will hunt for clues, crack codes, and make models and other mysterious objects.

June 30 - July 4 (no camp on July 1)
August 5 - 8 (no camp on August 4)

Tales and Tails: Imagining, Creating, and Discovering

Explore the world of real and imaginary creatures through stories, art, and discovery projects.

Dates:

July 7 - 11
July 28 - August 1

What in the World: Once Upon a Time in Nature

Spend the week exploring the world around us and imaging new ones. You will embark on outdoor explorations, and blend stories with hands-on activities inspired by nature.

July 14 - 18
August 11 - 15

Campers will explore stories of courage, outstanding achievements and noble qualities through games, stories and other hands-on activities to highlight the heroes around us.
