On Nov. 11, 2022 the Faculty of Arts & Science presented the inaugural Open Plastics Lectureship featuring Dr. Uwe T. Bornscheuer. Dr. Bornscheuer presented recent progress in engineering technology to speed up the process of breaking down plastic to support Canada's efforts to achieve zero plastic waste by 2030.

On June 9, 2022, the Queen’s University Alumni Association hosted its first-ever hybrid QUAA Awards Gala. Hosted by Lisa Hood, Artsci’04, this fully immersive hybrid gala was designed to bring the entire alumni community together to connect, celebrate, and share in tricolour traditions.
