A summary of the changes that will be made to the WebPublish Academia, Basic, and Custom services the evening of October 29, 2024.

As a reminder, site owners in the Custom service level are encouraged to review the impact of these changes on their site by reviewing it in the Preview environment. You can access the preview version of your site beginning October 23, at https://wp3-prev.its.queensu.ca/[pubID] (without the square brackets).

New Features (Basic & Custom)

Course content type - new content type designed for adding courses to your site. Features a course page, a grid layout, and a table layout, along with search and filter functionality
New Queen's header (see more below)
Past events feed now contains the year the event took place

Fixes (All Service Levels)

Fixed issue where when multiple pages of events or news stories were presented, only one item appeared on the bottom row of the page instead of three
Changed wording of land acknowledgement in footer
Adjusted size of paginator in slideshow to meet accessibility best practices
Footer Address Name Redirect no longer opens in a new window
Labels adjusted in Logo Set to conform to accessibility best practices
Data images from copied and pasted images are now converted into file uploads

New Queen's Header

As part of our ongoing effort to enhance the Queen's brand experience online, websites published through the WebPublish Basic and WebPublish Custom service will see an updated header design with this release. This change will align the WebPublish header design with that of the Queen's homesite and Gazette, which were both relaunched in 2023. Further design changes will be rolled out in upcoming releases to reflect our ongoing updates and additions to Queen's brand and visual identity guidelines.
