Site owners often wish to use their website to collect information from their visitors. While the WebPublish service does not provide built-in webform functionality, there are other options available for displaying webforms on your WebPublish site.

Forms tools

There are many tools available that allow you to quickly and easily build a webform. For example:

  • MS Forms: The Microsoft Forms tool allows you to create custom quizzes, surveys, questionnaires, registrations and more. Forms is part of the Office 365 suite of cloud-based services and is available to all current students, staff and faculty at Queen's.

  • Qualtrics: If you are conducting a survey, you may consider building it in Qualtrics, Queen's enterprise survey tool.

Embedding a form on your site

Once you've selected an appropriate tool and created your form, your next step is to embed it on your WebPublish site.
 

  1. Make sure that the Share setting are set to "Anyone can respond"
  2. Click the Embed icon, and click Copy to copy the embed code
  3. In your WP3 site, locate the page where you'd like to place your webform. Click Edit and click the Source button for the applicable field where the form should appear (e.g., Body)
  4. Paste in the embed code. Click the Source button to toggle it off.&
  5. Save your page. Your form should display on your page.

  1. Build your Qualtrics form and ensure that it's published 
  2. Navigate to Distributions and copy the Anonymous Survey Link
  3. In your WP3 site, locate the page where you'd like to place your webform. Click Edit and click the Source button for the applicable field where the form should appear (e.g., Body)
  4. Add the following embed code, but replace the anonymous-survey-link text with the Qualtrics survey link: <iframe height="640px" width="480px" src='"anonymous-survey-link"></iframe>
  5. Click the Source button to toggle it off
  6. Save your page. Your form should display on your page.
