The Empowered to Lead program is designed not to teach you how to be a leader but to explore the leadership skills and knowledge you already bring to the table and empower you to engage with opportunities to develop and enhance your own leadership style. With an emphasis on intentional and inclusive leadership, our program focuses on a non-hierarchical approach to leadership education that provides students with the tools for wherever their leadership journey may take them next.
What is the Empowered to Lead Program?
The Empowered to Lead Program offers various opportunities for students to learn and grow on their leadership journey. Our program is aligned with the Student Leadership Development Competency Framework which is directly connected to the . Our program focuses on developing skills in the following areas:

There are a plethora of different pathways for students to explore in the Empowered to Lead Program. Regardless of what you choose, by participating in a Empowered to Lead opportunity you will be able to:
- Articulate your own unique intentional leadership style
- Develop skills that directly contribute to your future leadership aspirations
- Apply knowledge learned to future career and academic related leadership opportunities.
Leadership Workshop Series
The Leadership Workshop Series is a set of workshops designed to broader participant鈥檚 perspectives on leadership, have them develop and practice key leadership skills, and provide opportunities for students to connect with like-minded peers in the Queen鈥檚 community. Student who attend four workshops will receive a certificate of completion.
Leadership Summit
The Leadership Summit is a bi-annual mini conference designed for students wishing to get involved in leadership opportunities on campus and develop their skills. By attending our summit, you will be able to:

Build Your Own Workshop Program
The Build-your-Own Workshop program is for student-led clubs/services and university offices looking to offer training to their volunteers and/or student staff. You will have the ability to choose multiple, concise versions of our pre-existing leadership workshops to customize ONE workshop tailored to your organization's needs.
