Some of the details of this policy are as follows:

  • this policy is effective in Canada and the continental United States;
  • the liability limit is $250,000;
  • the deductible is $5,000;
  • shipments completed by university personnel must be reported to the insurance office
  • shipments completed by third party carriers must be reported to Ruth Lappan ext 74236 in Strategic Procurement Services
  • all shipments valued in excess of $100,000 must be reported to the insurance carrier.

Please note the following items need to be referred to Insurance and Risk Management (as they are not automatically covered) prior to shipment in order for the insurer to review.
