Academic Accommodations

ITServices provides a web-accessibility compliance auditing service, called Siteimprove, to help the community identify ways to improve the accessibility of Queen's websites and ensure that they are compliant with the .

Accessibility Framework

Queen's   and the Accessibility Plan serve the university in the following ways:

  • To address accessibility in five priority areas: policy advisory; information and communication; employment; the built environment; and education, training, and awareness.
  • To establish shared accountability and responsibility for accessibility at Queen's, including funding accessibility-related expenses through standard operating budgets and identifying other sources of revenue streams.
  • To provide educational opportunities to improve understanding of accessibility issues and the university obligations in accessibility compliance.
  • To continue efforts to incorporate accessibility in university diversity initiatives.
