My name is Jonathon Zimmer, and I am currently a PhD candidate with the Department of History at Queen鈥檚 University. I am pursuing my doctorate under the supervision of Dr. Lisa Pasolli. I am originally from the Peace Region of British Columbia, where, in my hometown of Fort St. John, I was given the unique opportunity at the age of 14, in 2014, to begin studying history at Northern Lights College. Since then, my educational pursuits have taken me across Canada, from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops to the University of Regina. My current interests involve a broad range of topics in 20th century Canadian History, specifically, I am currently working on projects associated with Canada鈥檚 response to the Ethiopian famine of 1984.
I am currently the president of both the Graduate History Students' Association at 成人大片 and Achiever's Toastmaster's based in Fort St. John.
