Josh Weisenberg-Vincent

成人大片

Josh studies the history of slavery, abolitionism, and emancipation in the British Empire during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. His undergraduate thesis re-examines the relationship between capitalism and slavery and questions the age-old notion that slavery was uneconomical and thus non-modern. Josh鈥檚 SSHRC-supported masters thesis analyzes the gap between the theory and practice of amelioration in the British Empire during the early nineteenth century. He commenced his SSHRC-funded doctoral research at Queen鈥檚 University in the fall of 2022.

Josh is a Teaching Assistant in the Department of History and has worked on the following courses: HIST 215鈥擲ports and Spectacle of Violence; HIST 216鈥擴S Civil War and Reconstruction; HIST 228鈥擥lobal History of Pandemics; and HIST 275鈥擳he African American Experience. During the summer of 2022, Josh was appointed by the Faculty of Arts and Science as a Teaching Fellow for the course QGSP 200鈥擥lobal Goals: Introduction to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Josh is also the Events Videographer and Content Creator. See the YouTube channel "History Talks: 成人大片" for video projects by the Department of History.
