Naomi Makowska is an upper-year PhD candidate whose work examines the life of early modern Italian women and the Inquisition between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Her research interests include gender history, the history of religion, and material culture. She is working under the supervision of Professors Nancy E. van Deusen and Federica Francesconi (University at Albany, State University of New York).
