Dr. Pasolli has joined a international, interdisciplinary research team to take part in a new project, 鈥淲hat is the Best Policy Mix for Diverse Canadian Families with Young Children? Re-imagining Family Polices,鈥 which has been awarded a $2.5 million Partnership Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. Pasolli is one of three Queen's faculty who will be involved in this seven-year project.
Alongside researchers examining three core issues of childcare services, parental leave policies, and employment policies, Pasolli, whose specialization is in the history of child care, social welfare, and women and gender in twentieth-century Canada, will be examining the long history of debates about using tax measures to deliver child care benefits in Canada.
