In August of 2024, the Department of History said farewell to Cathy Dickison, who retired after 21 years with the Department of History.
Cathy joined the department in 2003. After more than a decade as a Senior Secretary in the front office, she became the Administrative/ Graduate Program Assistant in 2014. Since then, Cathy has shouldered the burden of the graduate front office, working with five Chairs of Graduate Studies and numerous graduate students. Much has changed at Queen鈥檚 and in the department over the last two decades, but amidst it all, Cathy鈥檚 abiding presence has made the department a better place.
Faculty, staff, and students will miss her dearly, but we all wish her a very happy and well-deserved retirement!
