Archives (wherever they may be located) house collections of documents or records providing information about places, institutions, or groups of people. Encompassing both the fantastical and the mundane, archives offer glimpses into the lives of individuals and illuminates our communities over time. They are a fascinating and invaluable community and scholarly resource. Did you know that the KFL&A region boasts multiple archives, including: Lennox & Addington Archives; St. Joseph’s Region of the Religious Hospitalers of St. Joseph; Queen’s Archives; Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul, as well as the local history and genealogical collection at KFPL? Each capturing and recording different, but intersecting narratives and experiences?
