Undergraduate Programs in Gender Studies

At the undergraduate level, we offer a three-year Bachelor鈥檚 degree (BA) General program and a four-year Bachelor of Arts Honours (BAH). The BAH can be pursued in three variations: Major, Joint Honours, and Minor.

At 成人大片, courses are broken down by units; a course that lasts for one semester is typically worth 3.0 units while a course that covers both semesters of an academic year is typically worth 6.0 units. Major

The Major degree in Gender Studies is intended for students who would like to make gender studies their primary field of study. Students apply to the Major plan after their first year in Arts and Science and should have completed either GNDS 120 or GNDS 125. Students may also combine their Major in GNDS with a Minor in another department.

Joint Honours

The Joint Honours degree is intended for students who would like a strong concentration in Gender Studies in combination with an equally strong concentration in another discipline. Joint Honours degrees can be completed with most other departments in Arts and Science. Students apply to the Joint Honours plan after their first year in Arts and Science and should have completed either GNDS 120 or GNDS 125.

Minor

The Minor degree in Gender Studies is available to students completing a Major in another discipline who would like to have gender studies as a secondary field of study. Students apply to the Minor plan after their first year in Arts and Science and should have completed either GNDS 120 or GNDS 125.
