³ÉÈË´óƬ University Biological Station (QUBS)

Shape the future of environmental education and conservation.

For nearly 80 years, the ³ÉÈË´óƬ Biological Station (QUBS) has served as a premier field research facility and living laboratory, offering a unique window into our ever-changing environments. Situated on the shores of Lake Opinicon, Canada, QUBS has expanded since its inception in 1945 from 34 hectares to over 3400 hectares, encompassing diverse ecosystems and hosting a rich variety of species, including those at risk.

As the largest inland field station in Canada, QUBS stands as a world-class institution, supporting multidisciplinary research and education in biology, geography, geology, and environmental sciences, and fostering hands-on learning and conservation efforts.
