Queen’s Queer Alumni Chapter (QQAC) is pleased to present its inaugural event “Queer at Queen’s: Past, Present, Future”. This moderated virtual event will focus on the journeys of LGBTQ alumni and students over the past 30 years, to reflect the importance of resilience, chosen family, and the power of coming out and working out.

Dr. M. Nancy Tatham, Artsci'86 - Queen's Department of Family Medicine
Nancy arrived at Queen's in 1981 and studied within the faculty of Arts and Science. She has been an educator and activist on queer, HIV, AIDS issues on campus and in Kingston since 1983. Nancy was also the student services director from 1991 to 1997. She returned to studies in 1999 and then attended McMaster University for medical school. Nancy is now a faculty member at Queen's School of Medicine and established the Dr. N. Nancy Tatham & Donna Henderson Lectureship with her partner to support bringing speakers to campus on issues related to diversity and inclusion.
Dr. Mark Richardson - Co-Chair, ˴Ƭ Association of Queer Employees
Mark is the Education and Outreach Officer in the Arthur B. McDonald Canadian Astroparticle Physics Research Institute, and the co-chair of the ˴Ƭ Association for Queer Employees (QUAQE), a new employee resources group for members of the 2SLGBTQ+ employee community. Mark joined Queen's in 2018. In working with QUAQE, he has helped to connect with the various queer groups at Queen's, including a joint Kingston Pride showing, and is working to achieve other advocacy goals for the queer community.
Chad - Chairperson
Chad is the co-chair of Q+, an LGBTQ2S+ professional development committee, and a consultant at Smith Business Consulting. He is very passionate about fostering safe spaces for queer students.
