Through the simple act of a friendly phone call, Queen鈥檚 students and recent graduates are making a difference in the well-being of senior alumni and forging meaningful new relationships within the Queen鈥檚 community.
In Spring 2020, we launched the Queen鈥檚 Community Connections Project (QCCP) in partnership with elder law expert, and CEO of CanAge Laura Tamblyn Watts, Artsci鈥94 in response to the early and widespread COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. This award-winning program has been connecting Queen鈥檚 students and recent graduates with senior alumni to combat social isolation.
Volunteers are carefully matched with senior alumni who share similar interests, degrees, or extracurricular activities. With the support of Alumni staff, volunteers set up regular calling schedules with their alumni partners.
