Congratulations to Amy Hetherington (BAH 2018), who was commended in The Global Undergraduate Awards (UA) 2018. She received this award for her submission of her research paper from RELS 255, "Sherpa Buddhism: An Analysis of the effect of Tourism and Climate Change on Ritual Lifestyle," to the Social Sciences: Anthropology & Cultural Studies category. Amy is currently in the second semester of her Masters degree in Peace and Conflict in the School of Politics and International Relations at University College Dublin where her thesis is looking at religious radicalization and extremism in the Middle East and North Africa.

Any current student or recent graduate interested in submitting one of their own papers to the prestigious UA award competition can speak with Richard Ascough.
