QSR Prof Mehmet Karabela will give a lecture at McGill University this month on Hegel and Ataturk, using his research on religious and political transformation in the modern Middle East. His lecture will take place in the Interuniversity Consoritum for Arab and Middle Eastern Studies on November 13. .
Mehmet Karabela has also recently published an entry on Ibn-al-Rawandi, a controversial figure in early Islamic intellectual history in the The Oxford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, Science and Technology in Islam. .
