Welcome to the Off-Campus Living Advisor's first Photo Contest! This exciting event is open to all current Queen鈥檚 University students. Faculty, staff, and alumni are not eligible to participate. We invite you to submit your best photographs in showcasing off-campus life here at Queen鈥檚 and in Kingston. Some examples of photos that you can submit are:
- Interacting with your housemates
- Moving into your off-campus property
- Exploring Kingston
Each participant may submit up to two original photos they have taken.
To enter, you must like the Off-Campus Living Advisor's Instagram page and send your photos via email to ocla@queensu.ca. Be sure to include your full name, Queen鈥檚 University email address, how your photo showcases off-campus life, the location of where it was taken, and a short description or story about the photo (up to five sentences). Please see below for a full list of the rules to participate in the photo contest.
- By submitting photo(s), entrants consent that they have read and understood the Terms and Conditions below.
- When choosing photos, students are advised to consider issues of privacy, respect, dignity and potential vulnerability of the individuals depicted.
- Any photo that has a person visible in it must have a consent form for each person.
- Each completed consent form must be submitted with your photo entry.
- Off-Campus Living Advisor reserves the right not to consider any entry it deems to be inappropriate.
- By participating in the Contest, students consent to their name, study program, photo description and the image to be shared/published.
- Off-Campus Living Advisor reserves the right to use all or part of winning photos in promotional materials, websites and social media.
- Winning photos may be published on Off-Campus Living Advisor and University media to promote off-campus living here at Queen鈥檚 and showcase student creativity.
- Off-Campus Living Advisor is not responsible for low-resolution, damaged, incomplete, lost or late entries.
- Entrants release the Off-Campus Living Advisor from liability in connection with the production of photo(s).
There will be a prize for the top three submissions:
- Grand Prize $100 Flex Dollars
- Second Place Queens Branded Sweater
- Third Place OCLA swag, Tricolour Mittens, and Tricolour Scarf
