An integral component of the Government of Canada’s , the Global Skills Opportunity aims to provide thousands of postsecondary across Canada with invaluable international study and work experiences, strengthening their global skills and competencies.

³ÉÈË´óƬ's Global Skills Opportunity program is titled Momentum for Mobility: Global Pathways for Inclusion

It enables Queen's students—especially including Indigenous students, low-income students, and those with disabilities—to receive financial support for in-person mobility experiences.

This program involves programs across the Queen's Community. By funding Queen's students from a range of backgrounds to participate in mobility programming abroad, we are taking an important step towards achieving Canada’s trade diversification goals and strengthening our global networks.

Bader College utilizes its successful ISGHD program to open mobility access to three cutting-edge interdisciplinary courses focusing on global health and disability themes. Bader College's UK location allows for student travel to Geneva and within the UK to engage with leading researchers, scholars, UN agencies, and grassroots organizations.

This fieldcourse introduces students to natural history, biodiversity & conservation challenges (and solutions) in East Africa primarily Kenya. Seminars, class discussions, guest lectures, and field trips provide overviews of the scientific method, field research techniques, the geological and natural history of the area, and an introduction to the biota and diverse habitats of this region.

The Faculty of Arts and Science is bolstering access to Undergraduate research opportunities around the globe through a range of subjects.

The Queen's Faculty of Education is building on their collaboration with 1 Million Teachers Inc. to provide Bachelor of Education students with an enriching, outbound student mobility opportunity where participants spend their 3-week international alternative practicum in set regions of Sub-Saharan Africa (e.g. Tanzania, Ghana, Kenya, Ivory Coast).


GSO applications for the University of the Witwatersrand program are currently open.


Enhancing the bidirectional Summer program between Queen's Global Development Studies (DEVS) and the School of Social Science (SSS), University of the Witwatersrand.

International Law Programs will take place in two new locations this year.  They offer the same intensive and integrated courses in International Business Law and Public International Law, with the same exceptional team of instructors and guest lecturers. We will spend 3 weeks in Kingston and 5 weeks in Berlin, and from Berlin we will visit international organizations in Paris (IBL), The Hague (PIL), and Geneva

In this innovative program supported by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Canadian and Japanese undergraduate students take courses with an emphasis on multiculturalism and international studies to develop the skills they need to be global citizens and the leaders of tomorrow. 

This program provides a unique opportunity for Queen's students to meet and interact closely with Japanese students from Kwansei Gakuin University and other Canadian students (from Mount Allison University, King's University College - Western University, and the University of Toronto).
