The recently published Queen’s annual report highlights many of the superb accomplishments of Queen’s faculty, staff, and students in 2015-16.

“The university, our faculty, and students made impressive strides in a number of strategic areas in 2015-16, and the annual report allows us to share those success stories with our community and partners,” says Michael Fraser, Vice-Principal (University Relations). “We invite readers to learn more about the many ways members of the Queen’s community are making a difference in the world.”

The annual report outlines the progress Queen’s has made towards its goals of improving its student experience, research prominence, international presence, and financial competiveness. In addition, the annual report provides an overview of the university’s finances and enrolment numbers, and lists the teaching, research, athletic, and alumni award winners.

A few of the major milestones detailed in the annual report include:

• Dr. Art McDonald winning the 2015 Nobel Prize in physics, an honour he shared with Takaaki Kajita of the University of Tokyo.
• Alumnus Stephen J.R. Smith giving an unprecedented $50 million gift to the business school.
• The Agnes Etherington Art Centre unveiling its latest masterpiece – Rembrandt’s Portrait of Man with Arms Akimbo – which was donated by Drs. Alfred and Isabel Bader.
