Queen鈥檚 remembers student Leah Battista

Queen鈥檚 regrets to inform the community of the death of student Leah Battista (Artsci'19). Leah, who passed away suddenly on Saturday, Nov. 4, was in her third year of studies at Queen鈥檚.
Majoring in global development studies, with a minor in Spanish, Leah had completed her first year of studies at the Bader International Study Centre (BISC) at Herstmonceux Castle in England. She was also working towards a Certificate in Business and was included in the Dean鈥檚 Honour List for both first and second year.
鈥淥n behalf of the Queen鈥檚 community, I want to extend my deepest sympathies to Leah鈥檚 family and friends. Our thoughts are with them at this time,鈥 says Principal Daniel Woolf.
The family has requested that their privacy be respected at this time. Information regarding a celebration of life will be posted when available. Flags on campus will be lowered in Leah鈥檚 memory.
