Province invests $750 million to boost STEM programs

成人大片 is set to benefit from a $750 million funding initiative unveiled by the Government of Ontario, aimed at enhancing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) programs across the province. With Queen鈥檚 slated to receive $15.9 million in 2025-26, the university plans to expand its capacity to educate a highly skilled workforce, positioning itself as a leader in meeting the growing demands of the STEM job market.
The funding, aimed at providing 20,500 additional STEM seats province-wide annually, underscores the increasing importance of expertise in these fields for Ontario's economy. Queen's recognizes the need to adapt to this demand, especially as applications to STEM undergraduate programs across Ontario surged by 34 per cent from 2020 to 2024. The $15.9 million investment will go towards funding existing enrolment in STEM fields.
