Inquiry@Queen's (I@Q), a conference aimed at promoting undergraduate research at the university, is marking its 10th anniversary as it gets underway Thursday, March 10 and Friday, March 11.
All events are open to the Queen鈥檚 and Kingston communities as the conference celebrates the research achievements of a new generation of scholars as they present their research through presentations, posters and panel discussions at the Queen鈥檚 Learning Commons in Stauffer Library.
The keynote session on Friday from 9-10:30 am, which offers presentations by undergraduate researchers and a Kingston youth group, will be highlighted by an address from Professor Emeritus Art McDonald, co-winner of the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics.
鈥淚t is integral to the students鈥 learning that they present and explain their work to a wide and varied audience,鈥 says Jackie Druery, Inquiry@Queen's co-chair and head of Humanities and Social Sciences, Queen鈥檚 University Library. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 a key part of the discovery process.
