The Showcase for Teaching and Learning at Queen’s, a day-long colloquium hosted by Queen’s Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), will highlight some of the many innovative teaching and learning strategies that Queen’s faculty, librarians and graduate students are using to promote student engagement and success.

“This event is an excellent way for presenters and attendees to share their successes in creating an engaged teaching and learning environment,” says Denise Stockley, Acting Director of the CTL. “It is also a chance to spark a peer-to-peer dialogue about emerging, innovative practices in higher education.”

Showcase presenters include Queen’s faculty, librarians and graduate students who will discuss topics including peer-to-peer learning, student engagement, the pros and cons of video lectures, and teaching with twitter.

The day will conclude with a panel discussion on the institutional challenges and opportunities at Queen’s with respect to the enhancement of teaching and learning.

The event, which is open to the Queen’s community, takes place Tuesday, May 7, 9 am–4:30 pm in room 202 of Robert Sutherland Hall. Complete program information is available on . Register through Moodle by on the event’s webpage.
