Dissertation

My dissertation traces representations of settler anxiety toward Indigeneity within 20th century canonical works of Canadian fiction to show how these anxious representations constitute a founding trope of the canon. I place settler colonial critique in conversation with theories of affect to consider affect鈥檚 role in maintaining settler colonial structures of power in Canada.
