The Ban Righ Foundation acknowledges that Queen鈥檚 University sits on the traditional lands of the Haudenosaunee & Anishinaabe peoples.
Respect for diversity and individual dignity is critical to sustaining community at every level. The Ban Righ Foundation is committed to fostering a culture of mutuality and equality.
The Foundation鈥檚 mission is to provide a safe and respectful environment where women are supported as whole persons and encouraged to connect with and learn about one another.
The Foundation鈥檚 programming and services are flexible and responsive to change. Education, discussion, and awareness have defined the work of the Ban Righ Foundation since it opened its doors in 1974. From its first day, the house has offered space for quiet study, panel discussions, talks, and workshops, where community-seeking women at Queen鈥檚 University find a warm reception and inclusive conversation.
The Ban Righ Foundation has built a community based on collaboration, connection, sharing, trust, and active listening. The Foundation stands as an example of the importance of respecting our individual and social differences.
