Congratulations to Eden Gelgoot and Danielle Ruderman! Ruderman has been accepted as the Inaugural Guest Curator at the Rubinoff Sculpture Park in British Columbia and Gelgoot's final term paper for the course Conservation Principles: Cultural Heritage Preservation (ARTH 404) has been selected as Global Winner in the Art History & Theory category of the Undergraduate Awards.
Danielle Ruderman is a fourth year art history student graduating spring 2018. Recently, she has been accepted as the Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Park's Inaugural Guest Curator. She will be flying out to British Columbia this June to work alongside Manager- Curator Karun Koernig, and together they will work toward developing projects focusing on visual counterpoint between the vast landscape and the sculpture. In addition to this, they will work together in creating a series of independent, active, and interpretive activities based on different themes. To conclude, she will be participating in the annual Company of Ideas Forum alongside Dr. James Fox, and Dr. Vid Simoniti. The Sculpture Park will then open to the public, as of July 17th, and she highly encourages fellow art history students to take a trip out to Hornby Island and experience the beauty that is the work of Jeffrey Rubinoff.
