Union Gallery has opened its current exhibition, , on until September 17, 2022 at the Gallery's Main Space and Projection Room, and the Tett Centre's Community Wall.
The exhibition, centred on the fusion between art and its surrounding community, is co-curated by three current Art History graduate students: M.A. candidate Anna Douglas and Ph.D. candidates Drew Burton and Jessa Laframboise. Art History professor Jen Kennedy is the academic supervisor.
"Through archival research and oral histories, Creating Communities Through Art starts to map threads of artistic learning and teaching across Katarokwi-Kingston. Questions emerge about art making and other creative collaborations as forms of community-based learning, mentorship, and world making."
