Queen鈥檚 has released its first Comprehensive International Plan, aimed at supporting the university鈥檚 international efforts from 2015 to 2019.
The plan sets university-wide priorities for internationalization based on four pillars: international research engagement; international mobility; international enrolment management; and international at home.
Internationalization is a priority for Daniel Woolf, Principal and Vice-Chancellor, who commented in a recent article in the Queen鈥檚 Gazette, 鈥淭he Comprehensive International Plan will help guide the university as it works to build further international learning opportunities and strengthen its academic and research partnerships around the world.鈥
Kathy O鈥橞rien, Associate-Vice Principal (International), led the development of the international plan over the past year and identified a key role that Queen鈥檚 alumni will play in its success.
鈥淨ueen鈥檚 alumni are already engaged internationally through branch activities, advisory roles and support of student recruitment activities.鈥 says Ms. O鈥橞rien. 鈥淎lumni Relations is currently developing plans to leverage the expertise and insights of our graduates, both in Canada and abroad to help advance the university鈥檚 international goals."
