Queen鈥檚 University has announced the dates for Homecoming weekends for the next three years.
The third weekend of October has been selected for each year, allowing thousands of alumni to plan to return to campus on the following dates:
鈥 Oct. 18-20, 2024 (Milestone reunion for graduating class years ending in 4 or 9)
鈥 Oct. 17-19, 2025 (Milestone reunion for graduating class years ending in 0 or 5)
鈥 Oct. 16-18, 2026 (Milestone reunion for graduating class years ending in 1 or 6)
鈥滱nnouncing dates three years in advance will allow Queen鈥檚 to more effectively co-ordinate with reunion volunteers, hospitality, and city partners,鈥 says Queen鈥檚 Advancement Associate Vice-Principal Leigh Kalin, Artsci鈥92. 鈥淲e also hope the advance notice gives our volunteers extra time to plan and create an even better Homecoming experience.鈥
The early release of dates is a departure from the traditional announcement one year at a time (usually in late December or early January).
In 2023, more than 2,700 people officially registered for Homecoming. The first Queen鈥檚 Homecoming took place in 1926 and attracted 870 alumni from the classes of 1874 to 1926.
