Astronaut Dr. Andrew Feustel Lands At Queen鈥檚 For The QUAA Alumni Awards

NASA astronaut Dr. Andrew Feustel is this year鈥檚 recipient of the Alumni Achievement Award, the highest honour bestowed by the Queen鈥檚 University Alumni Association.

Dr. Feustel, who earned a PhD in geological sciences from Queen鈥檚 in 1995, is one of several alumni who was honoured at the QUAA Alumni Awards Gala on Saturday, March 28 at the Isabel Centre for the Performing Arts.

Dr. Feustel took part in two space shuttle missions. In 2009, he performed three space walks and helped fix the Hubble Space Telescope. In 2011, he was on Space Shuttle Endeavour鈥檚 final mission that spent nearly a month in space at the International Space Station.

The QUAA also recognized Troy McAllister, Artsci/PHE鈥03 at this year鈥檚 Gala, who was honoured with the Alumni Mentorship Award.
