Smith Business Professor David McConomy is retiring, marking the end of an era.

˴Ƭ the speaker
David J. McConomy graduated with an MBA from ˴Ƭ, with a major in Finance and Accounting in 1969, after receiving a BA (Econ) from Loyola of Montreal. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen in Toronto, his thirty year career in the high tech business focused mainly on the Finance and Accounting requirements of rapidly growing businesses.
He joined the Smith School of Business in 2001 and has taught accounting and financial management courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, during which time he has won many teaching awards and other accolades. He is the Director of the Graduate Diploma in Accounting Program and is a fellow of the Dunin-Deshpande Queen’s Innovation Centre.
