Director, Professional Practice Group at
As the Director for the Professional Practice Group (PPG) at RBC Royal Trust, Donna Graham leads multiple teams that provide technical guidance for trust and estate legal matters both in-house and across RBC Wealth Management Canada (WMC). She executes strategic initiatives on behalf of PPG and provides guidance on legal matters, risk and liability that enables WMC businesses to make informed decisions. Providing further support to the business, Donna and her team frequently conduct internal training on estate and trust fundamentals.
Called to bar in 2013, Donna articled at a general practice firm prior to joining RBC Royal Trust. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Queen’s University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the Toronto Metropolitan University’s RTA School of Media. Donna has continued to deepen her knowledge and expertise with key industry designations such as TEP.
Donna is an active a member of STEP Canada, where she has spoken on the topic of choosing the right executor and trustee. She has also spoken at the Ontario Bar Association on beneficiary designations, and is called upon to speak on estate and trust matters from a financial institution perspective to various internal and external audiences.
Donna serves as a member of Sunnybrook Hospital’s Patient and Family Advisory Council for the Sunnybrook Academic Family Health Team (SAFHT), where she provides feedback and guidance from a patient perspective to SAFHT on various initiatives.
