This performance features violinist Chloe Kim and baritone Jonathon Adams, who will be joined by a stellar group of musicians in a program titled Out of the Deep. The program is inspired by the text of Bruhns鈥檚 lament, De Profundis (鈥淥ut of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord鈥︹).
Vancouver-based Chloe Kim has performed in North America, the UK, and Europe, sharing the stage with celebrated figures including Rachel Podger, Masaaki Suzuki, Pablo Heras-Casado, and Richard Egarr. Technically skilled, with an astonishing range of expression, Chloe performs regularly with the English Concert, and has collaborated with William Christie and Les Arts Florissants in France.
Born in 鈥渁miskwaciw芒skahikan鈥 (Edmonton), Jonathon Adams is an Indigenous (Cree-M茅tis) baritone whose career has taken off in North America and beyond. Recent and future solo engagements include performances with Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic and the San Francisco Symphony, under Masaaki Suzuki, the Ricercar Consort and Collegium Vocale Gent, Studio de Musique Ancienne de Montr茅al, Servir Antico, Washington Bach Consort, and the Portland Baroque Orchestra.
