Deborah Knight鈥檚 primary research is in the philosophy of art and aesthetics, in particular the philosophies of literature, film, and the visual arts. She has published on topics including: philosophy and literature, philosophy and cultural studies, and cognitive film theory. She has written on a number of films and film genres including: The Matrix, the horror film, mystery and suspense, the Western, Hitchcock, Blade Runner and Dark City, Martin Scorsese's The Age of Innocence, Tim Burton鈥檚 films starring Johnny Depp, and the films of Clint Eastwood.
