What’s the best part of your job?
Over the course of my time with Partnerships and Innovation, I’ve had the opportunity to see startups from the earliest stages, some of which have grown into successful SMEs. Being able to be a part of their journey has been such a pleasure.
What is an important piece of advice you'd want researchers to know about?
Don’t discount the importance of media releases and articles to showcase your progress. These articles can help you as support to a grant application, create awareness to the importance of your research, and/or lead to a connection with an industry partner if you are looking to commercialize your invention or intellectual property.
