Approximately 40 faculty and graduate students from the School of Urban and Regional Planning attended the joint conference of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) and Ontario Association of Landscape Architects (OALA) in London, ON from September 21-22, 2022.
Most students travelled by bus from Kingston, stopping for a picnic lunch and walking tour of the Regent Park revitalization project led by John Gladki FCIP, leader of the main planning team of the project. The group then visited the World Urbanism Pavilion for presentations on the Social Development Plan by Regent Park community activist Ibrahim Afrah.
